Hi again! How’s summer going? It’s really hard here in Mumbai, summertime really sucks, not complaining but got to do something with my clothes! I wish, I could go out anywhere in vest and shorts and wearing only flip-flops, without getting stressed out about being tan (or burn is the better word)…but it’s not happening! Still, I managed to do something with my outfit which is comfy, carefree but all put together and classic of all times. I made it possible through my three must-have staples for this summer.

I put my three  Must-haves together and I was absolutely ready to meet my friends. This 3 must-haves everyone needs because a capsule wardrobe starts from three of them. These 3 pieces are not something different but essentials. A crisp cotton white shirt, blue denim and a pair of nude strap heels, these are the three essentials which I need first. Let’s have a look of them in detail.

White Cotton Shirt
A white basic cotton shirt because it’s summer and it’s going to go up only so other than cotton shirts, linen can do. There are a lot of options available in terms of fabric like silk, satin, polyester, georgette and chiffon but I bet they can be stylish and fancy enough but not compatible with a hot climate. So, if you live where the climate is not mild, like I do, at least keep some cotton and linen shirts in your wardrobe. I’m wearing a white cotton shirt in size Xs worth $12.99 which is so inexpensive but very comfy and has a good quality. I have 2 shirts from the same brand and range and I’ve no complaints so far. Having a white shirt can come really handy anytime and can be styled in many ways and paired with multiple bottoms. And the most satisfying thing is, you can find them in almost every stores especially in Mark & Spencer, H&M and sometimes in Zara. First two are really good with the basic collection and they always freshen up the collection. I love to wear shirts in a classic way only because it’s easy and also very chic. That’s why I paired my white shirt with basic blue denim and nude heels and I was good to go.

Slim Fit Raw Hem Denim
Like a white shirt, a pair of blue denim is a must have and we all own at least one pair of denim in our wardrobes. The key to finding a perfect pair of jeans is in its fabric and rise. The less elastin or spandex jean has, the better. If your jeans are very stretchable, I bet they lose their shape very soon. Always prefer a pair of jeans in 100% cotton, see the tags and read them, such jeans long last and always look newer with every wash. And if you have any complaints regarding fitting, go for your actual size or one size up in terms of avoiding seen lumps and bumps. The second thing is its rise, always go for a mid-rise or for a high rise especially if you’re petite. By choosing a correct pair of high rise jeans, you can look to your actual height rather than looking shorter than actually, you are!

Shop your jeans, keeping these two things in mind and have Must-have evergreen and ever new wardrobe! I was wearing medium rise denim with a slight vintage wash in size 24 with raw hems. I love the raw hems a lot and I’ve altered some of my older jeans also in such a way! These jeans were looking fabulous with my white shirt. I just had to wear my right sandals!

Beige Basic Block Heels
I always need a bunch of nude heels but this time I wanted something in basic and comfortable. That’s why I chose a pair of block heels because I had a pair of basic pencil heels before and they aren’t comfortable at all. Anything I buy, I prefer it to be very useful and practical because I believe in reusing my clothes and accessories and also saving money. In these terms, a pair of nude block heels are a must-have staple! If I’m rushing to somewhere, I won’t have the fear of falling anytime and also I won’t have to purchase 50 different pairs of heels for 50 different outfits! I wonder, how these cuties go with everything I wear in neutrals or have some amount of white, beige, black in them. Couldn’t ask for more. Price wise they were pretty inexpensive. For the material, they are made of imitation leather lining and have rubber soles and insoles, heels height are 6.5 cm. They have straps at the front and a wrap over Ankle strap with an adjustable fastener, very compatible for office to casual wear. I usually wear size UK 4 and Euro 37 in heels and, they were true to size!
