Hey, lovelies! I hope you are all set to welcome fall and to enjoy! Meanwhile, you need to know 12 of the biggest AW18 Fashion trends for this fall, some of which you might like to try for this fall or, some of them you would admire from far!
One of them, my favourite trend is, falling for plaid. Plaid is so popular as if, you’d wear anything, but plaid this fall. And celebrity brands like Cher Horowitz by way of Versace, Michael Kors, Christian Dior have come up with colourful plaids in pink, yellow and orange check.
I love neutrals in plaid as they can be worn fullest and can become a staple piece for wardrobe and not just for fall but for every season. I will love to have a pair of pants, a skirt and a blazer in plaids.
Spark and shine are one of the hottest trends this season. Designer brands like Celine, Erdem, Christian Cowen, Gucci, Alberta Ferretti have come up with disco ball theme crafted as cocktail dresses, handbags and even as a two-piece suit.
For me, I’m not a big fan of sparkles in clothes so, will admire it from far. And for fashion, a sparkly structured handbag or a or phone cover will be nice to be a part of AW 18 trend. If you are a big fan of sparkle you can have long pleated skirts, bombers, shoes and even cocktail dresses in sparkly metallics.
The most divisive style decade is ready to rock AW18 trends. Prom dresses with huge puff sleeves, oversized suits, Neon Floral prints, pointed kitten heels booties, colour full plaids, acid wash denim, pants with ankle loops, dresses with big ruffle designs are some of the big examples of 80’S trend for AW18.
We can be thankful to Gucci, Marc Jacobs’s, Balenciaga, Lanvin, Gareth Pugh, Givenchy, Miu Miu and more for this era’s bitchin’ return.
I love 80’S and definitely will have some pieces in puff sleeves for this autumn winter.
After millennial pink, again pink is rocking in fuchsia hue. Designers like Claudia Li, Ulla Johnson, have come with long coats and pullovers in pink. Some have come up with dresses and gowns like Emilio De La Morena, Carolina Herrera, Cushnie Et Ochs, Tory Burch, Alexander Wang and more. Whereas Chanel has gone differently with Pink Opera leather gloves and pink leather handbags.
For me, I would admire this pink from far, maybe one lipstick in Fuchsia will be enough for my wardrobe.
Days are gone where suits were meant to be formals. Now you can style them as a runway model for a night out, evening parties and even for a day out. You can wear it up or down, will always elevate your style to new heights. Long plaid suits are being worn as one pieces are the best example of suit wear. Boob cutouts by Dion Lee are, taking his trend to another level to be worn as date outfits.
These suits wear are available in neutrals, plaids, basics which makes it more worthy to have in our AW18 wardrobe.
I would like to have multiple different pieces in suit wear as in they are staples and you can wear them as long as you want.
Tights from spectrum have been welcomed again by designers like Adam Selman, Anna Sui, Haider Ackermann, Dolce & Gabbana, Emilio Pucci and more. If your style is really quirky and edgy and you like the rainbow colour palette, you can definitely go for it. It will look more attractive in teenage school going girls and will add a pinch of colour in their fall wardrobe.
Me, as a lover of neutrals and basics, would like to admire this trend from far.
Floral dresses in different patterns will be dearest this season which is made for frolicking. Prairie style dresses were all over the runway in #NYFW AW18. Christian Dior has come with prairie boots. Designers like Chloe, Altuzarra, Giambattista Valli, Isabel Marant and more had drawn the attention of fashion.
I would definitely invest in some prairie dresses to add some cheerfulness in my wardrobe.

The holographic trend is back with designers Antonio Berardi, Balmain, Christian Siriano Maryam Zadeh and more. Skirts, two-piece dresses, flare dresses, trench coats were hot all over the runway.
Maybe I’ll have a bag from this trend because I can’t spend money on some trend which has less life. So don’t splurge on your valuable money just for looking trendy. Instead of that, invest in pieces you’re gonna use for a long time.
Don’t get surprised if you see coats more like a blanket all over the shopping stores because they have been rocking the runway AW 18. They are seen layered with leather jackets and puffa Coats. The designer like Emilio Pucci was more practical with blanket trench in this crazy style.
If you like crazy fashion you can go for it, but I would like to admire this craziness from far.
Puffa Coats and jackets are trending this season. This can be a staple for this fall, if you choose your puffa pieces wisely. You can use them as layer pieces in fall.
I live in Mumbai, where we hardly feel cold. So won’t be buying anything in Puffa and it doesn’t suit my style too. Instead of that, will invest in woolly coats and trenches which will be proven very beneficial while I’m on tour to colder regions.
Leather has been seen all over the runway as layering pieces or outer wear, boots, belts, bags, opera gloves, skirts, trousers and culottes for AW18 fashion trends. Leather never goes out of the fashion, it remains in trend in different forms. For me, I don’t promote using skin, so a replica material like PU will be fine in a skirt or a bag, for my AW18 wardrobe.
Again Animal print is something which always remains in fashion in some of the forms. This season animal print has gone loud with zebras prints, tiger prints, puma prints, spotted at Adam Selman, Givenchy, Dolce & Gabbana and more.
As a minimalist, I would go with snake print and leopard print for AW18 to look minimal and yet classy. And they are safest to invest as in these prints last long in fashion.
So guys, these are the trends which you needed to know for AW18 trends. Choose your trendy pieces wisely, after all, you are investing your money in it.
Stay tuned for another part of AW 18 trends which you’ll enjoy for sure.
