Dresses are the best part about summer because they give the feel of being on vacation every time. There is a variety of vacation wears like jumpsuits or loose trousers outfits but when it comes to summer dresses, they are the prettiest. Although, printed summer dresses can be seen everywhere but I like plain ones because they are more timeless and classic. Cotton and linen dresses are the best for the summer season, so having one in the closet is a must.
Even if you don’t have a vacation, still you need a summer dress for beaches, gardens or just to slip in, on the days you don’t want to do anything extra for the outfit. Believe me, they are better than those ugly looking jersey shirt dress, very effortless to style and still very graceful. There are a variety of summer dresses available at different stores, printed ones, plain ones, flounced ones and maxi dresses.
Finding a perfect summer dress can be tricky. Tricky because we can be enchanted by pretty prints but cheap and unsustainable material. Putting an outfit together and being effortless with fashion and style is an art.
I see people wearing synthetic printed dresses for summer which is neither practical nor flattering. Linen and cotton fabrics enhance a person’s looks and they really go well with dainty jewellery. Pretty dresses do look pretty but they don’t make you look pretty. That’s why I prefer linen or cotton dresses.
This cute pep hem knee length dress is really pretty and checks all the boxes. It’s a V- neck apricot colour dress with button up and ruffles detailing at the hems. Obviously, it’s a cotton and linen mix dress which makes it super comfortable and summery. Ruffles and buttoned up detailing makes this dress even cuter. I got the size XS, It fits loose and actually longer which is perfect for even taller girls. Price wise, it’s very affordable and for just $19 which is totally a steal. I’m also including some summer dresses I’ve been eyeing which you also might like.
How I styled
I wanted to style my dress very effortlessly because a summer outfit has to be very comfortable but also cute. So I styled this dress with a cute coin necklace and white Greece sliders. For the bag, I went for my prettiest and sustainable jute tote bag.
